Week 4/Things 6 and 7

More fun things this week - Google Docs and Spreadsheets!  I had no idea that Google had all of this stuff!  For my Google Doc, I tried to incorporate my themes of 'Vet Bill Blues' and 'working in the e-world' - and found a cute picture from Google Images of a kitty looking at a computer monitor.  Of course, the kitty was not actually working - she was shopping on-line - which is my idea of recreation and sport and much more satisfying than paying vet bills.  I shared my beautiful Google Doc with people in my branch who are also doing 23 Things - I can see that this would be a very handy tool if you were working on a group project.  And yes, I entered my name on the Google Spreadsheet, x-ed the appropriate boxes and will continue to do so.  Talk to you next week!

Week 3/Things 4 and 5

I was wondering what RSS feeds were.  Were they some kind of very expensive pet kibble?  Not at all - they are interesting things I can subscribe to and add to my Google Reader.  It seems to be a handy way to gather all your information in one place for quick access.  So now I know about RSS feeds and Google Reader.  Speaking of pet kibble - mine coughed up a hair ball this morning!  No additional vet bills - what a relief!

Week 2/Thing 3

I have registered my blog and am thrilled to see it on the 23 Things page.  Vet Bill Blues update - my vet bills are equivalent to an ipad AND an ipod!  Is it more important to have a happy pet or to keep up with new technology?

Week 1 and 2/Thing 1 and 2

This is my very first blog as a result of participating in 23 Things!  I think I'm excited!  I had fun playing with my igoogle page and found it entertaining but not necessarily relevant to my work.  Thanks to Current Cereals for the tip - Saskatoon links is a very handy gadget.  As for the blog - I had a hard choosing a name/title to represent myself.  Recent vet bills for my princess of a pet have cost me the equivalent of an ipad!  So hence the choice of Vet Bill Blues...
